In Channel 4's early days, they seemed to have a shortage of advertising almost all the time, especially in the smaller regions.

Yep, I remember the first time I saw one of these, and I think either my Dad or my Grandad explained the lack of adverts. It was pretty much every break, for most of the break that one of these was shown.
