Watching a subtitled version, I think this was a one off alternate universe plot, though a very exciting one. As for Naya Goro, it was recently revealed that he has throat cancer, which really bums me out. It limits the time he can do voice over work before he wears out.

I always figured getting older would improve the quality of Zenigata's voice since he's only going to get gruffer. And I wondered why the performance varied, good one special, struggling the next. now we know. pray for him.

Considering he has been smoking for who knows how many decades, I'm surprised Naya Goro is still doing any work. When he finally steps down, it will be interesting to see if they try to replace his voice or introduce a brand new nemesis.

yes this comment is ment for sprak3000 i dont know if you ever watched city hunter but i think lupin vs joe saeba would be a great duel just the walter p39 vs joes 357magnum would be a dream joe could even face jigen since there both good marksman now im a fan of both shows so i dont favor any just let me know if you think it would be a good match

the video was god awful compaired to every other animated work related to Lupin. Muddled waste of time with none of the attributes the series is famous for.

You know who I would recommend taking Naya's place? Akira Kamiya, the voice of Kenshiro from Hokuto no Ken and Mouri Kogoro from Meitantei Konan. Heaering his screaming voice in Konan and how funny he can be, he reminds me of the Zenigata from the tv show and Castle of Cagliostro. I think he would make a great Zenigata. Just listen to him in Detective Konan.

Yes, he's going to be difficult to replace. They were fairly fortunate that Kanichi Kuritawas ready to step into the role of Lupin. I heard that he originally did the impersonation as part of a routine and Yamada called his answering machine playing Lupin not himself and acted as Lupin asking who was the imposter. :)

Hopefully the rest of the cast won't have to step down any time soon. Kiyoshi Kobayashi is going to be difficult to replace. He has been in every incarnation but Fuuma I believe.

But I like Lupin the 3rd very much.

I especially like Lupin wearing a green jacket.

Yeah, I like The first TV series. the movie "Lupin vs. The Clone, Mystery of Mamo" and the movie "The Countess of Cagliostro".

"The Countess of Cagliostro" was derected by Hayao Miyazaki. He derected volume 145 and 155 of "Lupin the 3rd" 2nd series anonymously.
