In early 1999, Channel 31 Melbourne (now C31) was not in a good way, and had to raise a certain amount of funds urgently to stay on air. A quickly arranged "Save 31 Appeal" was started, with various contributions from various members of the station.
This promo featured John Blackman, Wilber Wilde and Red Symonds from the Channel 9 program "Hey Hey It's Saturday" (which was in it's final year). Asking the questions was longtime Channel 31 presenter, Jacqueline Shields.
This promo was run on "high rotation" during the appeal.
The scenes for the promo were taken from a show that Jacqueline and I did called "taking It To The Streets", which aired twice during the appeal.
These were among the last things I edited using the old "tape to tape" linear method.
