  • I played that Russ Taff tape until it broke from overuse! Love this song -- brings back good memories.

  • This is an amazing song. I'm partial to Russ' cover because his vocals are so impassioned but props to Charlie for writing it.

  • @uiucjrn95 I can't find Russ Taff's version anywhere, I once had the cassette as well and loved this song till it wore too thin!

  • Does anyone have the Russ Taff cover?

  • "when I was a....Chi Chi? Chicken Soft Taco?"

  • I am hearing this version for first time... Heard Russ' both are evenly amazing

  • He has filled out a bit since I first saw him.

  • mn, I use to love this when i was a Ch---, good song

  • This song is a gracious touch stone on an all to often treacherous path.

  • Russ Taff's version is good just different.

I sang this to each of my children as I rocked them asleep at night. And by God's grace Charlie sat in my living room and sang it to them before they went to bed one night.

A great and meaningful evening! A pastor who happens to write great sermons.
