This is what the National Guard should to be doing, not fighting wars of aggression in foreign countries.
Minnesota National Guard Soldiers of 2nd Combined Arms Battalion, 136th Infantry, 34th Red Bull Infantry Division conduct levee patrols, monitor water pumps and secure road blocks in the communities of Moorhead, Oakport Township and Georgetown Minnesota. This video available in high definition. Includes interviews with Staff Sgt. Dennis J. Anderson, 2nd Combined Arms Battalion, 34th Infantry Division, and Capt. Tim Sevcik, Company Commander, A Co., 2nd Combined Arms Battalion, 136th Infantry, 34th Infantry Division.
@candiceevans1 Please read the history of the National Guard in America before you begin typing nonsense. The only time when you and I should be worried is when the regular Military, such as the Army, Marines, and Air Force take control of our streets. If you live near the coast, then you should also be worried about the Navy parking their ships in an offensive formation off miles away.

@candiceevans1 Ummmm, I hate to be the one to break this to you, but the National Guard has been helping with natural disasters for over 40 years. They are controlled by the State and the Feds. In the case of disaster relief they are usually called up by the state Gov. to help. When I was a firefighter they helped us pull people from raging flood waters. They are under civilian control. We told them what to do, that is how it works.
