@abysmalatrocious: Yes. U.S. Route 666 was in the states of Arizona and New Mexico. Originally named by road engineers because it was the 6th "Fork" of of the legendary U.S. Route 66. After too many people freaked out by the Satanic associations of number 666 and too many road signs were stolen by people who thought the "U.S. 666" looked neat, the Arizona and New Mexico portions of the road were renamed U.S. 191 and U.S. 491 respectively. Both roads actually do fork off of U.S. 91.
