@glockmeister001 I remember reading about a 1970 Plymouth Hemi Cuda convertable 2 years ago that sold for 2.5 million US dollars....Your right about it being better than a wog rocket,or a whiz bang(jap car)....mopar or No car
I hate to be a buzz kill. But back in the, ( the 60's and 70's these cars were any were between 3,000.00 to 5,000.00 Tops, including the Hemi. In fact a HEMI road runner was just over 3,000.00 . Now beret Jackson car action is another story. To day they go for that price,
Various opinions on motor versus engine. Came up recently in R&T (or C&D) magazine. Oddly, when I worked at Ford Assembly plant in St. Paul they called it a motor. The line where I worked was the motor line, not the engine line. That's true of Chrysler factory as well... its called a motor line. I always thought a motor was something electric.
NOW, the most expensive motor in ANY 1968 - 1971 Plymouth or Dodge = anywhere from $350,000.00 to a $1,200,000.00 !!! NO JOKE! MORE than a Lambo or Farrari! Sounds better, way more power, and super kick ASS! More fun to drive than any Italien import or (COUGH!) Japanese ricers! Ricers, BEWARE! The ORIGINAL 426 HEMI is KING!
Grandpa was the one who would have sold me the car, but when Granny found out, that was that. I went back a few years later and got yelled at and my Grandma's farm is just 3 miles away. NoSireeee, that Hemi car will return to dust from whence it came, and there is nothing anyone can do about it.
Dick Landy came up with a way to set the geometry of the rockers arms to optimum position
think Ray Barton does the adapting to the heads now.

A Motor is what the poms call a car....AN ENGINE is what you see before you!! I totally agree, these people need to learn some engineering....

How True! We have to get these people to understand that there's nothing around in comparison to HEMI breathin'

That ain't no motor...It's an ENGINE. I grew up during the Muscle era and no guy worth his salt would ever call an ENGINE a motor.
