Filmed on a Sunday night, I had just found her like this. She seemed 100% well and perky on Saturday. Went to the vet Monday morning and she got some meds for ear infection and stroke, but the vet said it didn't look good and that she should get better within 1-2 days or we should put her down. I agreed of course. When we got home she had a sort of fit after a few hours so I rushed back to the vet, but didn't make it, she died in the car. It all happened very fast.

The vet did an autopsy and found out it was a pituitary tumor. In other words, there was nothing we could have done.

I miss you, Radka! :(

And in case someone is wondering, Radka lived with her sister Frida, and since I didn't want Frida to be alone I got a new rat (rescue rat). Rats should never live alone unless they choose to do so themselves.

  • @scout2010 Aw, I'm so sorry to hear that. Let's hope it's "just an" ear infection and that she'll respond well to the treatment. Let me know how she's doing. Fingers crossed!
