With the Dollar coming to a definite end in due time every one should have some form of escape root or a way to ditch as many dollars as possible before all hell breaks loose. Separating pre 1982 pennies and older from the current pennies is a great way to hedge because it gives you a chance to get in the game while there is still time left on the clock. Also remember that Canadian Pennies that are 1996 and older have even more Copper in them (98% to be exact). Count up!

  • You cant eat copper, or silver, or gold for that matter. Buy land.

  • @a1stooge

I have land as well. I just stay in this Apartment close to where I was raised to help my Mother who is now in her 70's and slowed down quite a bit.

  • Why not just spread the pennies on the floor then run a magnet over it. New pennies are megnetic old are not

"Why not just spread the pennies on the floor then run a magnet over it. New pennies are megnetic old are no"

    GREAT ADVICE!

  • So after you sort the copper from the zinc pennies, how do you go about returning them to the bank? Do you have to re-roll them? Are there any ways to automate that to make it faster?

  • @buckeyemike81

My Federal Credit Union has an electronic coin sorter where you can just dump the change and have it count for you so it saves a great deal of time. And it's free for customers.

  • @BIGBKELtheGOD New pennies are made from zinc NOT steel which is NOT magnetic

  • @Tysoncns This applies to canadian pennies. USA pennies are zinc post 1982

  • @a1stooge: Land can be taken.

  • Numatic? Pneumatic? Yes... let us study the effects of gas on moving parts. Of course, you could consider NUMISMATIC for the coins, this guy is talking about. "Pneumatic..." LOL

  • @Tysoncns WRONG!

    Zinc is NOT magnetic!

  • @VDBpenny1995 Yeah but you can grow food on it is what I think he's implying. You can also dig a hole and make a really nice fallout shelter.

  • @a1stooge You can't eat land either....

  • @BIGBKELtheGOD its 1943 that is steel, and we weren't short we needed copper for guns and ammo u can tell cuz it will be silvery

  • I'm not so sure about the "Protect you from hyperinflation" idea concerning copper as opposed to silver and gold. Copper has a very low value to weight ratio. As of today, 9.5lbs of that stuff is equivalent to one oz silver in value. Regardless, I still go after these coins and avoid spending nickels. I believe they are more useful as a wealth gaining aspect as opposed to trade. Collecting these pennies is similar to buying a DJIA stock at $4,500 percentage wise with a waiting period to sell.
