The point of this video is to use "Parliamentary privelege" to say what we could be sued for saying if we were not quoting from the UK Parliament directly. See here for more background: http://bit.ly/7AQYCE
The oil company Trafigura is suing the BBC over this news report: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/newsnight/8048626.stm. The effect of this is that the rest of the UK media dare not report the allegation that the toxic waste dumped in Ivory Coast in 2006 caused a number of deaths (not merely 'flu-like symptoms', as Trafigura insists). However, this allegation has been widely reported internationally (eg. here: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/05/world/africa/05trafigura.html), and, crucially, it has also been cited in the UK Parliament. Under UK law, we cannot be sued simply for reporting what was said in Parliament.
