N.Y.Oil was supposed to be on a mix tape for Barack Obama's campaign but, with possibly some significant career risk, is now supporting McKinney/Clemente.

It's about derogatory intent and control of language. "White" people have had self determination but "Black" people haven't. "People of color" also includes people who are not African descent BTW.

Self determination - people can vote for whomever they like but people of color have had limited choices as institutions have limited their ability to select candidates.
