1969, Amicus Productions. Directed by Alan Cooke. Stars Terence Stamp, Robert Vaughn and Nigel Davenport.

A 30-year-old man, who has been in a coma since birth, is finally restored to consciousness by a breakthrough brain operation. Although physically an adult, the man is effectively a blank slate, having the mind and world view of an infant; and the doctors caring for him must teach him to walk, talk, socialise and prepare for life in the outside world, without any time for the traditional niceties and slow tenderness of a normal childhood. Tension builds as he escapes from the hospital, wanders among people who are not aware of his identity and condition, and is hunted by the police.

Why is there no DVD release of this film, after all this time? It would mean that people like me could make the studio some money with a legitimate purchase. Until then, this will have to do.

This is part one of the film. More will follow if there is interest.

  • I saw this on tv years ago. The only reason I remembered it, is because it will air on tv in a couple days. I am going to record it, because I doubt it will be released on dvd. I have alot of favorite films I've had the pleasure of seeing here on YouTube. Most of them have yet to be released on dvd. I would sign a petion:) Thanks for uploading this gem:)

  • I'll join the petition 4 a DVD release.

  • @TheCycloneof07 I saw him recently as a lecherous Commodore on "Keeping Up Appearances."

  • Thank you for uploading this, I've wanted to see this for ages, I agree they should release it on DVD.

  • @TheCycloneof07 Yes. As a matter of fact, I'm watching him right now in an episode of Midsomer Murders called "Blue Herrings". :)

  • Genius! More gorgeous Mr Stamp please!
