certainly this is one of my favourite performances. Ms Fleming has such strength on those wonderful low notes and such beautifully sustained pianissimo highs. She provides all the contrast this most amazing piece demands. And I love the tempo. The choir work gives me chills, their energy is superb. Thank you Onegin65

Merveilleuse Renée Fleming. Le Réquiem de Verdi est une oeuvre d'une beauté sublime, bouleversante, dont il est dit quelle aurait sortie son épouse d'une profonde dépression. Même celui de Mozart, bien que d'une puissance extraordinaire, ne suscite pas tant d'émotion.

Very dramatic. Very operatic. Terrified of the end of the world and death. .. No cerebral nonsense. Fear and awe of the supernatural. .. I like this version very much.
