Now how can Fenway and Wrigly last 100 plus years and we can't. ohh the concrete is getting bad. REPLACE IT. THE YANKEES HAVE THE MOST MONEY (Net worth) of any team. i think it could have been fixed. even if you had to play in shea for a year or citi field. keep the landmark. Wish A-rod hit 600 there. it truly is quite a shame

Should of known it was John Williams. Thanks

I cant believe they knocked down Yankee Stadium. Well I guess the next thing in line is knocking down the White House.. " The White House needs to be up to scratch in modern day housing, suitable for the President and his family "

@thisisshane90 From 1948-1952 Harry Truman pretty much gutted the entire White house and steel framing was inserted into the walls. As for Yankee Stadium, the new one looks a lot like the old one. People walking in the food area get to see a better view of the game, that's about all.

will the new ballpark be called Yankee Stadium or will that determined by a sponsor?

Fortunately, it will be called Yankee Stadium.

.........yeah, we live in a disposable society. The real House that Ruth Built has been gone for thirty years already, although the "new" stadium did retain a facade of the original. Hell, it was no Penn Station, but it held a lot of childhood memories for many of us. Another one bites the dust.......

The new stadium has nothing to do with "Improving the fan's experience"... it's all about more corporate skyboxes. As for Penn Station, don't get me started...
