4 wd damaged by a snatch strap

Getting a 4wd out of the mud where it was bogged, using a snatch strap. But the tension point holding the snatch strap on the bogged vehicle sheared of and embedded itself in the spare trye of the recovery vehicle. Scary stuff. Lucky no one was killed

and again more arguments about whos got the best 4x4..who gives a fuck ..the best 4x4 is the one sitting in your driveway, waiting for you to jump in it and hit the trails,,,stop all the fighting and appreciate the clips for what they are...ill watch any 4x4 as long as its moving and preferably not on bitumen....

That's why you use ONLY the looped end straps... If that's the kind that's got hooks made on to it, why didn't you already know this?

You ONLY snatch with looped end straps, and D shackle/s... You can even loop one end and even eliminate one D shackle.

Learned the hard way what millions know already... That is if that's a strap with hardware attached anyway... Can't tell.

Snatch straps are generally a one time use thing. If draging go all day but snatch they dnt last long. Wev had u bolts smash windows dint tailgates n dissappear into the scrub. Just stay aware its very dangerous n stay outa reach of strap
