Hello,
This is very assisting.
This shows how the 'rich' should take responsibility, as much responsibility as they have money.

This topic is heating up because the MMTer's decades long struggle to get govt to offer a job guarentee is finally getting noticed given our bad economy and gimmicky, corrupt stimulus efforts. Some economists have different values, and if it is possible to create a basic income guarentee (BIG in the academic literature) without inflation or hyperinflation they would prefer that. Good discussion about all of this at heteconomist

@itekisan Dude I looked at that 6 months ago. If you have some new info let me know but I still don't see how what you said is better than what VP says.

This guys sure went thru alot of trouble explaining pure crap.

I hear the argument often that people will not work as hard if there is no big reward. Perhaps those who do not like their work will move to a different profession. Those who see that there are things that need to be done that nobody else is doing would step in and provide that service.
Money property system is ROOT problem.
1. people need food, water, energy, medicine, etc.
2. money systems require scarcity, so they will never create abundance of 1
3. sharing ALL resources and knowledge keeps small groups from controlling everyone
4. we have the resources and technology to provide EVERYTHING for the world now
5. automating the production distribution, frees up humanity to no longer be wage slaves to governments or corporations.

@dontblockmedk That's right. But I till prefer my own Constructive Utopism concept over the Zeitgeist and Venus Project stuff. I think mine is more down-to-earth and feasible, and also easier to actually start doing. You'll find the book completely for free on the internet.

@i I read the info but don't really see how it is more 'feasible'. It seems to be based on going backwards to a time when everyone has to grow their own food and do everything for themselves.
VP is talking about using technology to the fullest to FREE people from all that mundane labor.
I do agree that during the transition and especially in the coming depression, becoming more self-sufficient is great. Please explain where your theory goes from just basic survival to high tech future.

@dontblockmedk The use of technology is 100% open in my concept. If the technology can be developed, maintained and used, then there's no (conceptual) limits to how much of it will make life easier. My "Constructive Utopism" concept however focusses on the essential parts needed both for creating sustainable and feasible future concept and for transforming the society into them. So it's mostly about social science, social cybernetics and society management.
