I'd just come off playing in a performance of friend/colleague Jake Runestad's beautiful piece "As Rain to the Sea" for soprano and orchestra. On the way home I was struck with the need to do this. I don't know if they're connected, but I think, if you look hard enough, you can find a connection in anything, and it seemed to fit, so...there you go. :-)

  • @realpianistcomposer Actually, that's him whose comment is right under this one, lol...forgot! :-)

  • @TheJazzyMunky Thanks again! No, there are no lyrics to my improvisation, but the piece I was inspired by ("As Rain to the Sea" by Jake Runestad) certainly has lyrics. (I'd post a link, but youtube isn't allowing me to. Just Google him.)

  • This is amazing! Are their lyrics to this??? I am a voice major :)

  • @joeking864 Thanks, Jake!

  • Love it!
