  • Theres one born every minute.

  • Oh, look, they didnt hit that chair at 5:20....lol

  • That was too funny... stupid people and beer just don't mix.

  • A nice illustration why you either learn the right tecnique or hire a pro. Beer+tree+chain saw-experience-protection gear=disaster

  • Eucalyptus cladocaylyx, nice tree, poetic justice id say, perhaps we Arborists should start using our true title as Arboricultural Technitions instead, it may seperate the wankers, just a thought.

It may if you spell it properly if not, your just another dumb tree trimmer. A tree trimmer.

  • Great work boys. Pergola destroyed but I believe not a drop of beer spilt.

  • Great work boys. Pergola destroyed but I believe not a drop of beer spilt.

  • That would be true if they had actually been properly trained individuals.

The image seems to show the bulk of the tree over the yard, not the structure - not until they broke it anyway.

As you wrote, gravity probably exceeded their lack of technique.

Hard to tell from a video alone, but it may have been best to take it down in pieces.

It's nice that this video is still posted, as its one of the best illustrations on the internet of how not to be an arborist.

  • It has nothing to do with decay. The notch was very poorly cut.

First and foremost, the weight of the tree was all over the pergola. The limbs should have been removed to prevent the tree from falling that direction.

Second, there was about five inches of bypass cut in the notch. This means that essential there was no notch. once the bypass cut closed the tree broke off and the hinge at the back of the notch could no longer work. The tree fell were gravity took it.

  • What a bunch of dumbassess!I haven't been cutting trees for a year and I know more than they will in thier life. They are all lucky to be alive. If that one is an arborist he needs his llicense and certs burned and he needs tar and feathered.
