If my pilots are fuckin with the yoke that much and trying to land.....I DEF don't wanna know about it

saving the aircraft, during a microburst or extreme windshear the aircraft can be thrown into a posistion that even full control deflection cannot correct, hence you see him moving the yoke into full lock posistions

Does this MD-80 have onboard windshear protection?
-
hmm. during the intinal recovery of a windshear you really, really should not touch the gear, should you?

@olioli917 Liners have an autothrust mode wich is called TOGA (Take-off Go-Around). It calculates the requested thrust depending of many variants inserted in the FMC like runway lenght and condition, wind, weight ecc. The TOGA is activated during take-off roll, once on the runway and cleared for t/o, but it doesn't take engine to max power. It takes engines to the calculated one, so in case of windshear you push throttles even further to give MAXIMUM available thrust!
