musical excerpt from the 1977 Broadway show 'I LOVE MY WIFE' starring Lenny Baker, Ken Bichel, James Brennan, Joanna Gleason, Ilene Graff, Michael Mark, John Miller, James Naughton, and Joseph Saulter
This was from the Tony Awards in 1977. Visited New York for the first time a few months later and saw the show. Magical. Have the original cast album. James Naughton, in bed on the far right, is still around, does voiceovers for viagra and played Meryl Streeps husband in The Devil Wears Prada. Lenny Baker on the left died in the early eighties of cancer. His wife, second from left, Joanna Gleason, is Monty Hall's daughter, still see her occasionally on TV. Ilene Graf, no info on her.
does somone have a copy of the South African stage show sound track (around about the mid to late 70's and put on by the Brickhill Burke team) with Tobie Cronje - cant remember the rest of the cast. If so, please post it, would love it!
At 13 years old I was there opening night with my mom & sister! I knew every song. Went to Sardi's. So exciting. Mom knew Michael Mark's wife. Michael wrote the theme to Entertainment Tonight. That experience helped me decide to get into the biz. Now I live in LA, travel around the world shooting movies & commercials. "Hey there good times...."

Amateurish performers cynically singing unintelligible lyrics as loudly as possible, laughed at by phonies in the audience who paid way too much for tickets. Why most people find Broadway theater unbearable.
the 70's were AMAZING!!!
