Moving Genealogy (edited video). Performance by Melina Scialom at the 1st Theatre-Dance Festival of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Nov-2009 / Performance apresentada durante o I Festival de Teatr-Dança do Rio de Janeiro. Nov-2009

This performance is an attempt to transpose my internal movement produced in my academic masters research into the external expressive movement of the body in space and time. The scenery, the video projection, the squizophrenic audio and my moving body are intended to be a "Three dimensional expression" of a research process inspired in Rudolf Laban's life-art universe. It is an embodiment of the theoretical and personal process of research.

The video projected is an edition of the movement laboratories made during the research. The audio is a mixture of voices from the interviews I made with Brazilian labanists with the Satie, Philip Glass and my own speech.
