Nobody is writing, or singing songs like this anymore. Country music is not what it was back then...........

I love you....

@14RacingRocks I was spending the night at my cousins house (she left the radio on all the time in her room), the night of December 26 1993 Around 1am i woke up and couldnt sleep and this song came on right after. Shortly after, maybe aroud 2am we got the call my grandma had passed away (she was terminally ill-cancer) so this song has a special meaning to me as well. How coincidental.

This song is so beautiful,it makes me want to cry!

Another absolutely fantastic song I was blessed to grow up with. I was spoiled growing up, because I knew the "power" of country music. Now it's just "ok".

This is a beautiful song. I hope more people take to listen to it. A violin for your song Doug Stone.

I never knew the power of a song till I heard the music playing the day mama passed on. I miss you mom!Rest In Peace

Mark L. it will always be you. If only we could have both been in a different time and place. Love you forever.....

Like the young Doug Stone...or should I say the much younger Doug Stone?
Its a shame a song of this caliber has so few views. Todays songs are highly overrated.

Heard this song at least 10 times on the radio but never the first line then on Nov 17 1993 woke up to hear the entire song from the beginning about 30 minutes later at 2:30am my sister called and said my mom had passed. Song is very special. I love Doug Stone. Thanks for posting.
