Awesome band, great tune. Apparently winning basement tapes 'on their own' w/o the help of the A&R man was, in effect, the worst thing they could have done. Be careful what you wish for.

WOW! This takes me back...following The Sharks from club to club throughout the PA Susquehanna river valley,traveling as far as IU , imitating Shea's hip thrusts with his hand shading his eyes as he scans the crowd, screamin' and boppin' to the music in that 80's dance style, having the time of our lives! We even had a party the night MTV aired the Basement Tapes contest results when they won! Yeah, we were groupies back in the day! Now I have to dig out my 'old' music.

this is in reguards to music from the sharks band from lancaster pa .i have discmemberments cd which has all the real good songs on it .on my own,only time will tell,holiday, there is 13 tracks on this cd

Excellent! This is the version they re-recorded after they won the MTV Basement Tapes contest. I saw these guys I don't know how many times in the 80s. An exceptional band. Thanks for the post.
