Millsaps College Welcomes Incoming President Dr. Robert W. Pearigen

Dr. Robert W. Pearigen and his wife, Phoebe, received gifts galore during an introduction to the on-campus community. Stephen Passman, Millsaps College student body president, presented a book about Mississippi signed by the Millsaps student senators. Millsaps employees Scott McNamee and Mandi Calvert gave Phoebe Pearigen a bouquet of roses on behalf of the Staff Council. Millsaps professors Julian and Sandra Murchison welcomed the Pearigens on behalf of the Faculty Council with a basket filled with Millsaps T-shirts, visors, water bottles and other items. Our mascot, Major Millsaps, portrayed by Millsaps student Jordan Hammons, joined in by presenting additional gifts of purple and white.
