  • Have you ever thought that maybe the midnight shift gets paid more because nobody wants to work it? Not because it's more dangerous but because the hours are just shittier? And that maybe more men get killed because it's a mostly male dominated job?

  • @ZzDe0 true, the death statistics don't take into account the ratio of male to female officers in the police force. If you don't show the ratio alongside the death statistic, all you have is a weak guess. I could look at that statistic and say "more men die because they are more reckless and in general worse at protecting themselves and the public than women" and it would be as accurate as the uploader's supposition.

  • @TwoTube2 I regard this sort of comment as misandry. I have dealt with a number of things in this film and in these comments, but you want to spin the typical misandric idea of men being responsible for anything negative that befalls them.

To put it another way, if the death figures were reversed, would you offer up your trite and nasty argument to say: "[maybe] more women die because they are more reckless and in general worse at protecting themselves than men"?

    I don't think so. Goodbye.

  • @ZzDe0 "Have you ever thought that maybe the midnight shift gets paid more because nobody wants to work it?" lol. Refer back to the film and the tribunal judgement. What makes a job harder? Night working, perhaps?

"maybe more men get killed because it's a mostly male dominated job".

Well, that may be true if there were 100 times more men than women in the force. The ratio is actually 80/20 in the UK as has been presented and explained here in the comments, but which you have failed to notice.

  • I enjoy your videos very much though I do have a suggestion regarding the number of policemen and policewomen who died on duty. I think it would be much more informative if you showed the percentage of men/women died as compared to the number of men/women in service (that is, how likely you are to die as a policeman/woman). I say this because a conclusion cannot be made if only the total number of deaths is shown. It needs to be compared to the total number of policemen/women. Anyway, good vid

  • I walked up to a male officer once and explained to him that i had just gotten a ticket just for being mounted on my bicycle on an empty sidewalk by another officer and i wanted to know if he thought that was fair considering nobody gets tickets for such things around here, its as mute as a ticket for j-walking.... the first thing he asked me was "was it a female officer?" i said 'how on earth did you know?'... he didnt say a word just smiled and nodded with a "i cant say it" look on his face.

  • @manwomanmyth If you want to see true female police officers you need to watch the American show "Cops". Its so funny. On one episode a woman was treating a male criminal badly and being disrespectful, but she was also paying more attention to letting the camera people know her inner thoughts. She let her guard down and that man knocked out all of her teeth (you could see them fly) and took off. Another time two women got their car stuck and had to call for help. Hilarious.

  • The amount of 4000 killed show that men are overrepresented in deaths, but not relatively to the mount of officers. This statistic should be accompanied with statistics about the number of male and female officers in total.

  • So, let's say I wanted to become a policewoman. Do you think I might be qualified, or should all women just back off?

  • @ZzDe0 Midnight shift is the busy time as it's when the drunks are roaming the streets on their way home (alchohol is the largest factor in violent & anti social crime). As for male doominated, I can say from experience that it's a 60/40 ratio of men to women at best, on some shifts it's the other way around.

  • @ 2:50: This is a terrible argument, as the women, surely are the minority... can we get a scaled valued?

  • Man a perfect video clip that would have went along with this would have been the interview scene in Dirty Harry.

  • @LoG2891 And what's wrong with something being male dominated? Are women getting short changed now? Baw.

hey i love your videos but can you tell me what years the death statistics are between? Otherwise its a bit inadmissable including years that women were not allowed to join the police? Or did I miss that bit from the video??

  • @manwomanmyth how the fuck is 80/20 not male dominated? i stopped watching your video because you are an idiot.

  • The problem is the focus on sex or race. If we simply expected all individuals to pass the same minimum, no matter sex or race, then there would not be a problem. All individuals hired in such a way would not be a burden, due to their own person ability meets the expectations. And I am not talking minimum as in a physical, but as in a higher bar and standard to meet for even acceptance.
