Massive Lightning Storm

Some shots of a huge lightning storm we had in the GTA Tonight (August 9, 2009)

This is about 20 minutes worth of which i edited out some of the darkness (no lightning) parts to fit more into the 10 minute max by youtube.
If I kept recording, I'd have a good hour's worth of solid lightning flashes and strikes.

This storm was in the distance. For the second half of this video (when you dont see a giant tree) I'm facing south to the lake, where the view is pretty much unobstructed for a long way. That's why you don't hear too much thunder after the first few mins - the storm moved south over the lake instead of on top of me.

dude 3 nights ago there was crazy lightning in jacksonville NC it was tike flash 1second later FLASH XD

those flashes were very frequent where by are you living that was pretty massive

@swoop17100 sound travels a heck of a lot slower than light.. the sound when u hear the sound usually 5 seconds after a bolt.. if the lightning were still there it'd be a mile away or more

sometimes during a severe weather event there is no thunder noticable..

it happens...

and im talking about even with continuous lightning
