  • i think this is very good version of titanic than camereon did "titanic 1997 story about 2 fictional character

  • I can't believe how many people are saying "this looks like a rip off of James Cameron's movie." or "this is a rip off of Cameron's movie." This is NOT a rip off of Cameron's movie because Cameron's film was a love story between two fictional characters with the ship as its backdrop. this miniseries is focused on the passengers and crew, both fictional and real. SO QUIT COMPARING THE TWO. THEY'RE TOTALLY DIFFERENT FROM EACH OTHER.

  • they weren't trying to compete against Cameron's movie. They said so themselves.

  • Of course itsbetter. The JC "Titanic" movie wasnt a Titanic movie at all. Because it didnt focus on the Titanic or real people. The real people would just akwardly be thrown in for a 30 second period at the end of every scene or so. The JC Titanic movie could've taken place anywhere, its a fairly cliched storyline. I admit the visuals are amazing, but put it this way. If the JC version was just a tv movie with tv style CGI, would it even be remembered. However this is more true to th true events

  • i think in some respects this is perhaps better than JC's version. i certainly felt more emotional watching this than the movie

  • Couldn't get on with it, stopped watching quarter way through part 2.

  • Where will the movie come on?

  • This trailer is awful. They should remember that they're kind of competing against Cameron's movie, as long as the background is concerned, and that pretty much the only thing this series can propose that might distance itself from the 1997 film is the focus on the characters. Here, we don't get to know them at all! We just get to see more and more clichés that were better done in the movie. Doesn't make me want to watch it.

  • your point is?
