This is another awesome waterfall in the county. Located less than a mile from the Gid Waterfall, this one is spring-fed. I have seen a six-foot mound of ice beneath the main flow of this waterfall during a strectch of bitterly cold weather. The water that falls from this rock-face actually joins the very creek that pours over the Goid Waterfall just a hundred yard or so from where it lands.
A terrible tragedy happened to the German immigrant family that built the old mill on this site back in the 19th century. Two brothers had been away and during their journey home got caught in a blizzard and were found frozen.
