Disclaimer: I'm sorry the audio isn't super hot. I didn't want to bring an extra microphone to the gun range and I used a different camera for recording. Also, there were a few young guys a couple lanes down who were posturing for each other with a rifle and I wasn't able to edit out all of their obnoxious chatter.

As I mentioned in my last video, I didn't get time to bring the new 25th anniversary edition Beretta M9 out to the range until today. So I bought some Winchester 115 grain Lugers, and it seemed to like them just fine. No stovepiping, feed errors, jams, or any other issues. I was very pleased with that.
I prefer to load the magazines without using the "wussy loader" (a magazine speed loader). If I can't push the rounds in quickly with my own thumb, it isn't strong enough and I need to keep working on it. A speed loader may help shorten the process, but I just prefer not to use it.
In this video, I use two silhouettes for target practice. I'm a beginner at shooting and need a lot of work (which is one of the reasons why I have purchased firearms instead of renting) so if you think you need to inform me I'm a poor shot, that's not news to me. My goal with range shooting is simply to work on improving. I make a little progress each time I fire. I'm grateful that my instructor is patient. :]
The second silhouette is just a magazine dump for kicks and giggles. I manage to put most of the rounds in his gut, but I'm going to need a lot more work if I'm going to survive a zombie apocalypse. But it's like they say: practice makes perfect. And the practice is crazy fun.

  • From Holland : I like your Vids! I have the Beretta to. Greetz. Martijn .

  • The trick is to separate the holding steady from the taking the shot and eventually combining them, so try resting the gun after a couple of shots, you won't get that wobble, gradually build up over a few weeks to holding and shooting

three then rest, four then rest and so on, this way you can concentrate on the frontsight and trigger squeeze. Also get snap caps and practice dry firing. Good exercise is just holding out the gun without shooting, gradually increasing the time.

  • I tend to shoot left with my AK after 4 or 5 rounds, the thing really gets my heart rate up and I tend to get sloppy. Good shooting, for a 9mm the Beretta is heavy and large IMO for what it is; some folks love them though.

  • Trigger manipulation; Foresight.Trigger manipulation; Foresight.Trigger manipulation; Foresight. That's all. (although maybe a different gripped pistol would give you a better grip platform.

  • thing sounds like a canon!!!!!! O_O

  • nice... pretty gun too lol

    good post!

  • That looks like blue ridge in centreville.

  • @FateofDestinee to zero ones weapon ie. to ajust / align your sights so that bullet impacts on a specific area of the target usually the x ring !

  • @FateofDestinee: regarding the T1 compensator!
