These guys all look way too old... I'm just reading this now for the first time and I imagine Willie as sort of a nerdy, pudgy kid you sort of want to slap in the face.

Sadly, Bob Francis..who played "Willie Keith"in the movie version of
"The Caine Mutiny"died in a tradgtic accident after the film was released.

Maybe Bogart did not fit the age profile. Never the less; it is still arguably his greatest role. It was very powerful and convincing. He was nominated for an Oscar for it. This is my favorite film of his.

But if you go back to the book, it's a converted WWI Destroyer - a 3rd rate ship at best.
