Check the ice core data, the history of the world is not, warm and mild, the history of the world is an ice sheet

If you look at the ice core data, you will see spikes up in temp, these peaks, peak out just a little warmer than we are at right now, they last for about 2-3 thousand years, then right back into ice

our warm period has been 10,000 years, our number is up, warming isn't the problem, cooling is

you don't understand economics at all

if you cut down trees, you reduce the supply of trees, which drives up the profits gleaned from planting more trees

if you drive up the demand for energy, you drive up the profits of developing newer more efficient energy sources

etc etc, if you get the Gov out of the way, this process happens smoothly, let the Gov in the way, this process happens in a slow, stupid, tripping, grinding way

Yes Bjorn let's get the entire world up to the standard of living of rich and developed nations, which is exactly what China's in the middle of right now. You cut down a lot of trees and burn a lot of fossil fuels to get the standard of living most wealthy countries enjoy. Let's get all countries equal first and then deal with what the consequences of we've consumed to get there later.
