http://www.dogbehavioronline.com/members/108.cfm to learn how to keep your dog off the couch. Keeping dogs off the couch is usually done incorrectly. Keep dog off couch and save lots of money!
Hehhe.... I love reading these responses. All of you are too stupid to even own a dog. He is NOT suggesting that you try to get YOUR dog to jump on the couch and then pull thier leash and tell them "no". If YOUR dog already jumps on the couch, you wont need to ask them to get up there, they will do it on their own. THATS when you pull the leash and tell them "no". His dog clearly knows better already so he HAS to try to get the dog up there for purposes of demonstration.
I too totaly disagree with this method! Its backwards, encouraging mistrust and the dog will end up being a mazochist in the best case scenario. Im sorry such tuition is even availble out there!
I also do not agree with this method what-so-ever. You NEVER under any circumstances trick a dog into obeying you and then when he/she does exactly what you say, tell him "No." This is crazy backwards and textbook for what NOT to do with your pets. Dog are about loyalty and trust. Playing mind games with them is not smart. Good luck with that man. Sooner or later, the dog's going to wise up and just start tuning you out all together.

Ok, what I think this guy is saying is when the dog jumps up, pull him down. However this guys dog is well trained so he won't go on the couch unless asked to
