New wheel design with 8 swinging blades capable of extracting power from either wind or wave forces, it could be submersed either horizontally or vertically in the water or stacked horizontally in vertical tower assembly .

Points explaining my enthusiasm toward submersed wheels:
+ Accommodates with tremendous sea/ocean water area and depths .
+ Can absorb more power from travelling waves compared with point absorbers .
+ Simplicity of design and ease of implementation with lowest costs .
+ Can be arrayed in matrix of thousands units aligned together in rows .
+ Such arrangement achieves dual goals, one is generating electricity and the other is protecting shore lines from erosion damage caused by embedded wave energy .

  • what is that music at the beginning ?

  • @AnyThing999999999 It is for Famous and talented Egyptian composer named Omar Khairat, you can find many of his fabulous musics by searching for Omar Khairat Musics

  • This is a tidal generator not a wave generator

    Its still good idea though

  • @ollieoniel

But if the whole unit is floating up and down then we could have wave generator in plus (see Aero-Aqueous Multi-Purpose Renewable Power Station)

  • Bassem, you really need to patent this. It's quite a neat improvement of the conventional waterwheel.

Thanks my friend, my best wished to you.

  • Looks Great i want to buy one for sure!! if you ever need any help give us a shout, were here to make the world a better place

  • Great wheel, Bassen! I would like to see this in action with the conversion kit producing energy...

  • OK Bassem, you have proof that you did the experiment. Even if you had someone else build it. You oversaw this right?

  • wow, very neat.

  • Brillant. Angular momentum conservation.

I think it's just a prototype, he's just showing the concept, how it works......I planned this fifteen years ago, just like it, to use underwater...but, never did anything with it.....I still think it's a great idea..

  • if it was big enough to do real work as a wind mill it would probly shake it self apart due to the inbalance
