Here's my arrangement of an old Irish/English song. Don't ask me what it's all about. I may put it to a proper video if I figure out how...Enjoy!

  • This is fantastic!

  • @shannonlad100 I'll have to look into getting my hands on that version. Thanks.

  • @GatesOfHell4 Yes i'm inclined to agree with you....Seems logical when we hear the words ...I have a version from the "Bawdy begger girls"...but i don' find it on the tube..Great version.....Anchient song, by all accounts

  • @shannonlad100 "Come tell to me who's the father of them... there's two of them by your Uncle Dan, another two by your brother, John..." There might be other versions, or my interpretation might be a bit skewed.

  • @GatesOfHell4 .....Maybe but there's another ..Cromwellian soldiers, in a" pissed state "raped some local girls, in a village near Wexford in Ireland..... the resulting offspring were so ashamed, n tried to cover up their history by any means...A Folkie from Wexford told me that?????

  • I would definitely enjoy an MP3 of this track. Absolutely fantastic rendition.

  • @StonyMcSorrow It's a song about a lady who had incestuous relations, and murdered the children that resulted.

  • @benbowtheturd sorry, i don't know enough theory to work out the chord names and progressions. with smart fingering you shouldn't need go beyond the first three or four frets in standard tuning.

  • @zciwonamor i don't know the names of the chords i use, i'm afraid. i just think of it as melody and bassline mashed together.
