- SYNOPSIS -
Ryan Gosling stars as a Los Angeles wheelman for hire, stunt driving for movie productions by day and steering getaway vehicles for armed heists by night. Though a loner by nature, Driver can't help falling in love with his beautiful neighbor Irene (Carey Mulligan), a vulnerable young mother dragged into a dangerous underworld by the return of her ex-convict husband Standard (Oscar Isaac). After a heist intended to pay off Standard's protection money spins unpredictably out of control, Driver finds himself driving defense for the girl he loves, tailgated by a syndicate of deadly serious criminals. But when he realizes that the gangsters are after more than the bag of cash in his trunk-that they're coming straight for Irene and her son-Driver is forced to shift gears and go on offense. - (C) FilmDistrict

  • Drive was definitely my favorite film of 2011. Well said review!

  • THUMBS UP FOR ALBERT BROOKS!!!!!! BOOH YAH

  • The soundtrack was the star of this movie.. I don't think the movie would have had the same effect without the 80's themed music

  • like your excitement at what you do Tom,so I am seeing Drive.as I know its a film that needs to slow to tell the story call it arthouse film, everyone else does, and to me done correctly its a good thing.Sincerly,Steve

  • @HipolitoDiaz I don't. But you most likely love twilight up the ass HAHA!

  • @GORIZARD6 my god ... listen to yourself? do like twilight too??? I wouldn' be surprised LOL! ... xDDDDDDDDDD

  • @HipolitoDiaz At least Transformers was far more interesting that Drive, so yeah go back to watching Ryan Gosling staring at things and people for a long time in a movie that has no flavor, appeal, or anything interesting to offer.

  • @GORIZARD6 well there's the problem with opinions, if you didn't like the film it is said "i don't like it" not "this is a horrible movie" but the thing that makes your opinion seems like shit is when you say "it takes like an hour to get to an action scene" ... so i recomend to you to return to watch transformers or any action popcorn flick, Cuz Drive is way beyond that.

  • HEAVILY AGREE, i was so happy after watching this movie, it felt new and crisp, something that i havent felt in a long time. 5 Stars all the way!!

  • 5 stars agree !!!!
