No sir, Armageddon was only released on Wii, Xbox, and PS2. This is the PS2 version.

Items don't do anything by themselves (collecting enough of them unlocks characters), and costumes can be used by selecting a character with the Start button instead of X.

That is a tough one. I guess it varies by game:
MK1: Sub-Zero
MK2: Scorpion
UMK3: Sub-Zero
MK4: Scorpion
MK:DA: Scorpion
MK:D: Sub-Zero
MK:A: I've taken a liking to both. :P
