A salute to the men and women who have served and continue to serve this great country. Although created for a Service of Remembrance we were encouraged to share it on YouTube. Props for a wonderful song by Roland Majeau and various pictures uncovered through the power of Google.

THE STORY BEHIND THE VIDEO: I've recently been working with the youth from our church preparing for a Service of Remembrance on November 7, 2010. I arranged for a local veteran to spend some time with the kids sharing his stories, thoughts and hopes based on his experience during WWII. In that hour he spent with us he represented thousands of soldiers who are no longer with us to share their stories - in doing so he continues to serve admirably and do them all proud.

This video is dedicated to all of our veterans and our new friend Ross - at 90 years of age, he's a real inspiration!

Lest we forget.

  • @421starwars We honor our war dead on November 11 because the armistice ending the first world war was signed on November 11 1918. D-day was June 6. 1944 and brought about the end of the second world war in Europe. I am not sure what you meant by your post but hope you found this informative.

  • @421starwars D-Day was June 6th 1944
