  • I'm not B/S, I just learned something

  • I'm not a big fan of harleys, but thats a great thing to have, it's scary as hell fishtailing on a slick road

  • @southernstylecycle

Now that is an a amazing statement. I suppose we should be riding horses instead of driving cars using your comparison. The only time you even know you have ABS is if you are in a panic stopping situation. So, the only way you would know you have them is to run around locking up your brakes all the time. Is that what you have been doing all these year locking and skidding around the streets on your shovel-head.

  • @bootedHARLEYman it depends on the power of the bike and the time when it was released...

  • Many poo-poo ABS. The bottom line is having ABS on your bike statistically cuts your chance of having a fatal accident by more than a third (IIHS). I did my first 30K all weather miles on a bike without ABS, then I switched, I will never go back. They are helpful in all conditions, but are especially helpful if you get caught in the rain, where wet brakes and wet roads make it impossible to tell how much break is optimal.

  • been riding bikes for 35yrs with no abs,i hate abs myself.i learned to drive/ride without it and i prefer to control my bike or car myself, not computer controlled.i know several yuppies that bought new bikes, then they all went out and bought shovelheads to ride so they can enjoy the ride.abs just gives a no-riding yuppie confidence enough to ride to bike night without training wheels

  • i have a 2009 ultra the abs works very well saved me twice on bad roads. By the way leave your attitudes at home.

  • VRSCDX - 2009 has this system - works very well.

  • I've had to depend on the ABS on my Ultra and it worked incredibly.

  • We want Harley to implement ABS to the old models additionally too, not only to the new touring&x-rod models.
