Join the Museum of America's Mannie Gentile for another video exploration of Combat Helmets of the 20th Century.

This episode looks at the fifty year history of the helmet which characterized the American G.I. for over 50 years - the M1 steel pot.

Catch up on Mannie's other helmet videos on Youtube and also check out his helmet collecting blog at:

  • I want to be Mannie Gentile when i grow up.... or at least have his job!

  • Mannie...I really like your videos. I'm a helmet collector in Venezuela where the army bought tons of WWII surplus equipment decades ago. Hunting good pieces here is interesting! Regards from Caracas, Venezuela.

PS: I hope to visit the MOA someday!
