At this test field a trial is held to compare energy output of a Windwalker, Ampair, Turby, Fortis Montana, Fortis Passaat, Energy Ball, Ropatec 0,7, Swift, Airdolphin, SkyStream and a Ropatec 6.
Both vertical axis and horizontal axis turbines have had their share of problems. The small home-based turbines do help to supplement ones electricity, for we may never totally get rid of wind farms, and the U.K. and U.S. both have tried to help with tax credits.

The towers are the most time consuming and costly, wasteful part of a small wind turbine system. Have a look at my videos and you'll see what I mean. Look at how much trouble and mess it is to install a tower. Look at it compared to my install video. Wow, shocking how poorly that Swift Wind Turbine and the VAWT, verticals will hardly spin in same wind. Look how inneffective verticals are at harnessing wind power, all of them.
Take a look at the Vertical Turbines and that Swift turbine. It's a nice example of how Vertical Turbines DO NOT harness wind as well as the horizontal axis turbine. It's a nice example of traditional HAWT designs out performing that Swift Turbine. In this example, the only turbines spinning are the traditional horizontal axis HAWT turbines. It clearly demonstrates why you never see a vertical axis turbine in a wind farm, or a Swift Turbine design either.
