@TheTexanAtheist I doubt you'd have to get a new monitor. Unless it's a $60 Kmart special I think it would be worth taking it in, I would think a repair shop could clean the insides of the monitor (obviously not airtight-or, if it was, the seal broke-otherwise there'd be no way for bugs to get in in the first place)
Still quite annoying (and spooky). That happened to my television but thankfully only once and just for a minute.

@mamazboyzRiddlerX It may be annoying but I would just ride it out until it dies or leaves the monitor-there can't be much food in there. I wouldn't really worry about it unless it dies in the middle of the screen, or you start seeing more bugs-then you'd want to do something about it. :)
I had a similar problem with my rear projection TV- but with a spider. It only showed up once and then never again, and it hasn't happened again. That was over a year ago :)

Some what true, there's 3 additional layers in too, and these can cause trouble as they need to be more or less airtight close, otherwise the screen will loose some of its brightness

i had one, thought it was ON my screen. poked it to kill it and now i have bug remains in my screen
