I'm so thrilled that I finally found this wonderful Warner Bros. cartoon. My grandmother talked about a song called "Time Waits for No One" that she heard an ant sing in a cartoon around 60 years ago. I tried to located the song but came to a dead end. Frustrated, I almost gave up when I accidentally stumbled across this while looking for a Disney cartoon. Thank you Yosmosonic for posting this little masterpiece.

"Gay Nineties" is a bit different when applied to the 1990s.

Gracias. Lo encontre despues de muchos años.

@legaleagle46: You are correct - it is "Time Waits for No One". though the first five notes are the same as "Tales".

@yosmosonic Haha nope I really liked it :P

I disagree slightly. Friz was #2 when it came to cartoonists. No one could ever hold a candle to Chuck Jones. This, however, is one of Friz's masterpieces!

@99Blondie phew... i thought i was the only one who liked the performance!!!!!!!

@legaleagle46 haha yeah well I suppose so! I personally think she wasn't THAT bad... I mean, I've heard a hell of a lot worse XD But thanks for letting me know the name of the song! I didn't expect anyone to know!

@99Blondie "Time Waits for No One," and judging by the other ants' reactions, I'd say that she murdered it rather than sang it! :D
Wow, another Merrie masterpiece I've never seen before. It really ticks me off that on the upcoming release of the Looney Tunes on Blu Ray almost all of the cartoons on there are repeated from the golden collection DVD's and not rare masterpieces like this!!

@TheSourceForDVDVHS i'm not sure if it's worth getting it to be honest, with only 10/50 cartoons not being double-dips.
think of it as a way for WHV to get more money to restore even more cartoons.

Freleng LOVED doing cartoons about ants {"The Fighting 69 1/2th", "Ballot Box Bunny", "Ant Pasted"}- he finally made one a star at his own DePatie-Freleng studio with "The Ant and the Aardvark" in 1968 (although the Aardvark got the best lines).
