Why in this movie did they say that Benjamin's mother was dead? The bible says she was alive before Joseph went to Egypt. Genesis 37:10

the brothers look nothing alike. a lot of white faces in this movie for desert dwellers, of course we might as well make them all have british accents to complete the transformation into a european view instead of a middle eastern view.
