http://fatnews.com/ Hi, this is Larry Hobbs @ FatNews.com.

At the time of his death at the age of 86, Mark Starr, MD's father, who 6 years earlier, had had an enlarged heart due to congestive, had shrunk back to normal size and a coronary catheter showed he had minimal atherosclerosis after being placed on desiccated thyroid and testosterone at the age of 80-years-old notes Mark Starr, MD notes in this audio clip from a speech he gave at a 2007 Orthomolecular Conference.

Dr. Starr is the author of the wonderful book Hypothyroidism Type 2: The Epidemic.

"My father was 80."

"He had congestive heart failure... a great big heart [ enlarged heart ]."

"He was losing his great sense of humor... he was an intellectual fellow."

"His eyes were starting to get a little cloudy."

"I returned from New York about that time."

"I got him on testosterone as well as desiccated thyroid."

"By the time of his death, after a disaster during knee replacement surgery 6 years later, they could not believe it was [ NOT ] his heart that [ was ] contributing [ to his death ]."

"His coronary catheter showed 50% ejection fraction... normal heart size... minimal atherosclerosis... and he had regained his sense of humor and intellect within about 12 to 18 months of starting [testosterone and thyroid]."

"And my mother thanked me many times for giving her husband back to her."

------

My research shows that many chronic illnesses including heart disease, obesity, diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis, mental illnesses, Alzheimer's disease, and the explosion of childhood illnesses are largely attributable to Type 2 hypothyroidism.

Type 1 Hypothyroidism is defined as failure of the thyroid gland to produce sufficient amounts of necessary to maintain normal blood levels of those hormones and normal blood levels of the thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH).

Type 2 Hypothyroidism is defined as [a] resistance to thyroid hormones at the cellular level.

[In Type 2 hypothyroidism,] Normal amounts of thyroid hormones and thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) are detected by the blood tests therefore, blood tests do not detect Type 2 hypothyroidism.

  • @TheOutThereSomewhere I agree -- interesting stuff. And it is such a shame that modern medicine has either forgotten about this or overlooked this. Thanks for your comment.
