His guitar is worth it thousands of dollars. It's the Warlock II made in 1982 in the United States when Bernie Rico Sr. was still alive and ran the company. This guitar is a very rare, collector's item.

i think its because its mainly a guitar for soloing thus you "only" need a humbucker in the bridge position. there are alot of guitars like it. its just personal preference.
