I cried a little.

This song is so 'true' and good, I wouldn't be surprised that if it were to chart on the billboard it would be a #1 hit. This song is awesome and so soothing.

@71crm That's what brought tears to my eyes. When I was a little kid I would start thinking about the end credits of this song in the summer time (paticularly in June) when the sun was setting or close to setting.

I don't know why but there is something very soothing and relaxing about the end credits.....guess it's the train driving off into the sunset!
-
I love this song!! And I REALLY want to learn how to play it on the piano, but of course I can't find sheet music for it anywhere!
-
@ArgentAngel Same here. I used to cry when the show ended. That was back when I was in kindergarden, & that was 21 years ago.
-
Take me back to when I used to watch this!!! OMG!! do it now!!....sighh...there should be a law making you appreciate your youth..

@MrComedy01 It's what they called it by ur country. Go see it on Wikipedia and type in "Shining time station series 2" and find episode 24 (UK) aka episode 50 (USA).

this is from "Things that go gahooga in the night" since the stories "Ghost Train" and "Woolly Bear" are mentioned, Is it just me or shoud'nt Ghost Train be called "Percy's Ghostly Trick" on those credits? because "Ghost Train" is what my country (UK) calls it... or probably because it was Ringo's early narration it didn't matter at the time...
-
@ArgentAngel I never cried during the credits, but I think the reason is because of...
1. The Scenery. Just seeing the train moving peaceful along the rails is really a beautiful sight.
2. The Music. It's so calm and relaxing.
and 3. THE SHOW IS ENDING, AND YOU DON'T WANT IT TO END!!!!!! YOU DON'T CARE IF YOU CAN SEE ANOTHER EPISODE THE NEXT DAY AT THE SAME TIME, YOU STILL WANT IT TO CONTINUE!!!!!!
Put that together, and you get a tearjerker of an ending. Am I right?
tears came out my eyes as i played this again as i remembered my child hood and how much i loved thomas the train i was really happy and as i look now i'm caught in the rat race of life just trynna make it that i forget to look at the things i have and not take them for granit, this show made me get into trains and love them and stop to watch them past by when i was young , i will never forget this show!!!! thank you for years of joy just wish i can go back ='(
