Lost to my old record by about 3 seconds

I paused at 1:00 because I missed a shortcut, and was thinking of restarting the level

Can never do 3:20 on those blasted banked curves... I die every single time. The rest of the level is fine! I can dash through that and (very rarely) fall off the stage, but this bit, is a complete pain... And so far into the level it is a shame to restart, so any decent time is crushed.

Any advice out there?

I always take those slow. (no boosting)

You can just hold forward to get through

I've learnt to do that now. I just cannot help but feel i am wasting so much time not boosting there, it enfuriates me, heh.

Have you improved on this time since you posted it? You could save 4-5 seconds on the bit starting at 3:30 because those robots miss you if you walk a little left or right to their line of sight. I literally just run past them!

I have improved my time to around 4:02 ish (w/ robot killing at that part xD)

can u use the classic controller how do u connect it and y is the light speed dash slow

Yes, you can use the Classic Controller. You just set the settings to "Classic contoller" under "Options"

Light dash is slower so that it is harder to get an S-rank, as ranking is based on time

my best reord time for this stage is *goes n checks* 3' 47' 038 heheh. me n you take a lot of the same shortcuts n i know wich one you missed x3 you take a little longer to do certain things like swinging on the bars and tryina kill enamies you can just run past. you can shave a lot of time on a bunch of places heheh.

wow my best time on this stage is around 4:07:455 on ps2 but now i have the 360 version so i don't play it any more or maybe anyway nice vid :D 5\5

You could of simply google'd it, but still.

On the GC controller, press 'Y' (Boost) as soon as the countdown hits "GO".

Do it too early, and you spin-dash + get a little of the bar fill.

Do it too late, and you stumble and get a slow start.

Do it perfectly and you get a spin dash + 1 full bar of the boost gauge which you can use immediately to get a very fast start.

It takes some practice but it is natural once you learn. I execute it fine at least 98% of the time.
