its sport you dont catch fish top eat its for sport just like asking why boxers beat the crap out of each other something like that. and fish dont get wounded so bad. they will heal in afew days time

well. it doesnt really hurt them. it heals. and when they put them back they go back to their regular habitat and rnt killed
