dont piss off the robot were giving artificial intelligence. moving that blue circle make's him mad. hell release skynet and coffe makers and blenders will start to wreak havoc on the dipwads who pissed off every robot . like if u ever told ur GPS,
man: "screw u, im goin this direction"
GPS"(bing) recalculating
man:"YEAH U BETTER RECALCULATE!!"
So if u dont want Asimo coming after u at 3 mph, trying to kick a soccerball at u, or spill all that hot coffee on u, dont screw with ASIMO!!!

every time he moves the dot and blocks her path i keep thinking that shes gonna slap him across the face and say STOP IT!!! XD but than i remember it cant think for its self. XD

It has a backpack to hold it's poop. As you can tell by it's walk, it always needs to go.

Unfortunately it can't say F U to the giver of an unsolvable problem :) (or can it?)

I still reckon R2D2 would do him in, hes got a lazer!

@chrissomerry i certainly give asimo the benefit of the doubt, it's incredibly advanced, this was sci-fi 20 years ago

@opaa1 The robot wasn't looking for the easy way, its incredibly smart. Its goal was to get through the obstacles while wasting the least amount of energy and time, making it smarter than most humans o_o"
Question: It seems Asimo can only navigate in "problem solving" scenarios where it knows all the information at any given time. I arrive at this because it appears the top-down view shown in the video is actually what the robot is using to plan its movements. Is this correct? I wonder how far Asimo is from being able to solely use vision detection and cope with limited knowledge of surroundings.

@mikemurko Yep. But like RoboCup soccer, it is a good first step towards solving these kind of problems. Robots are able to build similar maps using just their stereoscopic vision.
