Normally it's pitch black only the neon signs are visable w/black lights on them, but sometimes you can ride lights on if they were checking the track right before, or technical reasons. They'll also do lights on for ACE

when i went on i was sooooooooo scared the whole time! sooo i dont remember actually seeing all those road signs and stuf inside........ my eyes were prolly shut

When I went on it was pitch black which i think is better because you don't know whats coming....
